How to Authenticate a Received Certified Email™ Message
Simply "Forward" the received Certified Email™ message with all attachments in place, to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
More specifically, a Certified Email™ message has an extra HTML attachment that is automatically added by RPost en route, called the Digital Seal® mark. Clicking on the Digital Seal® mark HTML file will display the message origin and original transmission timestamp, along with verification instructions.
If any recipient of a Certified Email™ message, or future recipient to whom that message is forwarded, would like to authenticate the message origin and/or author, content including attachments, and /or uniform time of transmission, he or she can simply forward the received email with all of its attachments in place, including the Digital Seal® HTML attachment) to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Within minutes, the person sending the email for authentication will receive an authentication notice from RPost by email that will either confirm authenticity and present a reconstructed electronic original message with all original attachments, original author and/or origin, and uniform timestamp of original transmission, or will report authentication failure if the message sent for authentication was not originally sent as a Certified Email™ message with RPost technology, or if it has been altered.
