How the RPost Cloud Platform Works:
Sending Data and Messages to the RPost Cloud Platform
Data, messages and email may be sent to the RPost Cloud for processing in a variety of ways.
Apps - Software Enablers for the Sender: One may use the RPost services with or without software add-ins for the sender, and no software or compliant action required by the recipient. RPost refers to these add-ins as "apps" that the sender may install to make use of the services more intuitive and elegant. These are not required for use, but are often installed by the sender in Microsoft Outlook, IBM Lotus, Apple, BlackBerry, Sendmail, Salesforce.com and other messaging platforms.
Sender Apps and Appliances Filter Normal vs. High Value Outbound: Sending apps, appliances or special message formatting creates an elegant way to route high value messages for special processing by the RPost Cloud platform, with normal messages transmitting in their normal route. These user interfaces are optional, but provide for elegant methods of permitting the sender to tag certain email as one that is of high value and should be processed by the RPost Cloud – for proof, encryption, or recording recipient consent or signature, conversion to PDF, large file secure transfer, etc. Apps are available for desktop email software programs (i.e. Outlook, Lotus), mobile apps (i.e. BlackBerry, Apple devices), and web browsers. Further, functions can be configured to route certain message for processing by RPost based on message content policy within most modern data leak prevention and mail gateway appliances (i.e. Sendmail).Based on data input (by SMTP or web services) into the RPost Cloud, RPost processes the email and produces the output of a Registered Email message for legal delivery proof, encrypted email, messages with attached contracts set up to obtain the recipient's electronic signature, metadata cleansing, PDF conversion, among other characteristics.
