IT Guidelines
The primary purpose of installing the Send Registered™ software on the sender’s mail client is to direct email messages that the user wishes to be sent as Registered Email messages to RPost networks for processing and delivery.
It is important to note that with standard installations, only email that the sender elects to be sent as a Registered Email® message route through the RPost networks, not all outbound messages. Further, with RPost’s core services, RPost does not store any email or receipts and the recipient does not need any special server settings or software.
Upon installation, the only visible change to the email program is the addition of a “Send Registered” button in the tool bar of the message composition window and a (R)eceipt folder that can be automatically added as a subdirectory to the in-box. All Registered Receipt™ emails are directed to this (R)eceipt folder by default.

The Receipt Folder:
The Receipt Folder is the destination folder in the sender’s inbox for inbound Registered Receipt emails. This rule is the default setting to keep the Registered Receipt emails from being accidently deleted and for simple receipt management.
For Send Registered™ button and R-mail™:
The Registered Receipt emails are filed in an automatically created “(R)eceipts” folder. This folder is a subfolder of the inbox and is created only AFTER the first Registered Receipt email has been received by the sender. The first receipt activates the folder to be created. To manage this feature, please check or uncheck the option in the Registered Email tab in the Options section of Outlook.
Should the sender decide to create a different receipt rule, the Registered Receipt email can be identified by the “From” address. This will be: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Note, there are several forms of emails that can be generated by the RPost system. Only the Registered Receipt and Open Receipt emails should be routed to the Receipts folder. Only these receipts are FROM the address, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
For Webmail & PDA:
It is recommended that you manually create a separate "Receipts" folder to protect the receipts from accidental deletion. Please refer to the instructions in your webmail program.
Whitelisting:
Because RPost proves delivery, content and time without any third party storing the content or transmission information, RPost attaches the data required to reconstruct and validate the original email, attachments, and transaction information in an encrypted file. The file is attached to the Registered Receipt email which is returned to the sender, ready for authentication on demand, for use in case of a dispute. That encrypted "Locked" file attached to the Registered Receipt email can sometimes cause an AS/AV filter to quarantine the Registered Receipt email or tamper with the file making the receipt fail during authentication. For optimal service, RPost requires customers and partners to “white list” RPost as a source of safe messages. RPost messages can be identified as follows:
Sender Domain:
*.rpost.net
Sender IP Range:
Source IP addresses can be provided upon request, contact RPost.
