| RPost customer's have found that
if the message is important enough
to send "REGISTERED" then there may
be other things one would like to do
to that message en-route, such as
document scrubbing; convert to PDF,
encrypt, electronically sign, time
seal, or record the receiver's reply
to bind agreement between parties.
This is in an INTEGRATED suite of
managed outbound messaging services
that can be implemented in minutes
with no servers, no complex
software, no appliances, no new
settings, and no additional per-user
cost. (PDF

Service and Feature
Description |
|

Registered E-mail with a
banner: This lets the
receiver know that your
e-mail has been sent with
proof of delivery, content
and time. |
|
Unmarked |
Registered E-mail without
the banner: With this
option, the receiver will
not be aware the sender has
the proof of delivery,
content and time. No banner
or markings. |
|
Attachment Options:
The significance of the
following three options is
that it allows these
important features to be
used simply and without the
sender having to save
multiple copies of the same
file in different locations
– at the click of a button
with processing done
en-route (not on the
sender’s system) |
|
Zip Attachments |
Compress attachments: Large
files needed for sending can
be compressed with the check
of a box. |
|
Convert to PDF |
Secure attachments by
converting them to PDF.
Convert Office documents
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to
PDF format, encrypt with a
password, all with a simple
check box. |
|
Scrub Attachments |
Clean hidden meta-data: This
feature scrubs meta-data in
an Office file to reduce
potential exposure to hidden
information saved in that
file. |
|
Create Record for the
receiver:
RPost protects the sender
but also has the option to
protect the receiver without
the receiver needing any
special software. |
|
Sign with Digital Seal |
This feature allows the
sender to electronically
sign and time stamp an
e-mail. This reduces e-mail
phishing and hoaxes and
makes it possible for the
receiver to authenticate and
verify the e-mail author
(the sender) and the
original content (avoiding
misrepresentation). |
|
Register Reply |
The Register Receiver's
Reply feature replaces the
action of printing, signing
and faxing a document or
contract – or recording the
back-and-forth e-mail
discussion. The receiver can
simply reply when this
feature is checked making
that reply come back to the
sender as a
Registered E-mail message
and both parties are sent a
receipt. This feature
allows both parties to have
a record of an ongoing
discussion or negotiation. |
|
Additional Features: |
|
Reference Code |
If the service is going to
be used as a cost recovery
item or integrated into a
document management system
the sender can add a
reference or client code
here. This code is recorded
both on the Registered
Receipt and on the monthly
usage reports. |
|
Encryption |
For both compliance and
security, RPost has paired
the Registered E-mail
feature with a simple to use
and very secure encryption
service. The receiver is
required to insert a
password to retrieve the
message. Even it the
receiver does not retrieve
the message, the sender
still has proof of delivery,
content and time fulfilling
any necessary requirements. |
|
eContracting |
This is a way for sealing a
deal by recording the
receiver’s agreement to the
custom terms created by the
sender. Both parties
receiver a Registered
Receipt e-mail as the
verifiable record of
agreement. |
|
Official |
For Official Use Only.

sender against inadvertent
disclosure under a Freedom
of information Act request. |
