Registered
E-mail®
Registered E-mail®
provides assurance for Internet e-mail. It protects
the sender in a dispute involving e-mail; works for
ANY Internet address and is simple to use and
verify.
It (1) provides proof of delivery yet does NOT
require any additional effort by receiver; (2)
proves content and attachments delivered; (3) proves
legal delivery with universal time; (4) provides
sender with a tamper-detectable electronic record as
an e-mail.
Simple to use: Just type an
(R) in the beginning of the
subject field of any e-mail (server installation),
or click on the Send (R)egistered™
button in your e-mail program when sending e-mail
(desktop installation).
Unmarked or Confidentially Registered™
Unmarked or Confidentially Registered
E-mail® provides the same assurance
as a Registered E-mail®, however
there are no special markings on the receiver's end
so they do not know your e-mail was sent
"Registered." Provides sender protection of
Registered E-mail® without alerting the receiver
that the sender is protected.
Simple to use: Just type a
(C) in the beginning of the
subject field of any e-mail (server installation),
or click on the Send (R)egistered™
button in your e-mail program (desktop
installation) and then select the "Unmarked" service
option. A normal e-mail goes to the receiver with no
special markings. The Registered Receipt™
functionality is maintained for the sender.
Register Reply™
The Register Reply™ service establishes a
Digital Handshake™ by recording an authentic record
of the transaction or negotiation. It
records agreement between two parties by e-mail,
fully electronic. Further, the sender can enable ANY
receiver to reply via Registered E-mail® without any
extra software, procedures, or effort while
generating a Registered Receipt™ for the receiver.
It (1) does NOT require any additional effort by the
receiver; (2) provides both parties with final
tamper-detectable electronic record of the entire
negotiation, agreement, dialog; and (3) the
recipient does not have to be enabled with the RPost™
service.
The Reply Registered™ service can eliminate
the process of printing -> signing -> faxing -> and
calling to confirm a fax - anytime the sender needs
to document a handshake agreement or understanding
between two parties.
With the Reply Registered™ service, the
sender is enabling the receiver to reply to that
specific e-mail with a Registered E-mail® in such a
way that both parties will receive a Registered
Receipt™ documenting that entire transaction.
Client Code
This feature is designed as a cost recovery and
document management tool. For cost recovery or
document management of a Registered E-mail® message
insert a client code, customer ID number or project
code. This code will be inserted on the Registered
Receipt™ e-mail and you will get an aggregated list
of the Registered E-mail® messages sent per code, on
your monthly usage report. Please contact
support@rpost.com for more information regarding
the client code, classification examples or how to
bill your clients for the Registered E-mail®
service.
Digital Seal™
An
RPost Digital Seal™ is a form of digital signature.
It provides the same kind of authentication and
non-repudiation as Public Key systems but without
the administrative overhead and infrastructure
requirements that burden such systems.
The RPost
Digital Seal™ lets the sender electronically sign
their e-mail so the receiver or future recipient can
verify the integrity and authorship of that e-mail.
The sender is protected against hoaxes,
misrepresentation or imposture.
Once the sender obtains their "Signature
Password", they can electronically sign an e-mail by
adding their Digital Seal™ . This proves, for as
long as the Digital Seal™ is associated with that
e-mail, who sent the e-mail and what the original
content was that they sent. This works for all
e-mail systems and is durable - continues to work
even after the e-mail is forwarded from person to
person.
Simple to
use: To add a Digital Seal™ after the
Signature Password™ is set-up, the sender either
types an (S)™ in the beginning of the subject field
of any e-mail (server installation), or clicks on
the
Send (R)egistered™
button in the
desktop e-mail program (desktop installation) and
then selects the "Digitally Seal™ " service option.
For Official Use Only
Registered
Official Registered E-mail®
protects the Government sender against inadvertent
disclosure under a Freedom of Information Act
request.
This feature helps to protect against inadvertent
disclosure and protects the Government against
successful FOIA requests by providing proper
handling of sensitive information as well as
verification of content, attachments, and times of
transmission. It can be set to direct a copy of the
Registered Receipt™ to the FOIA office to manage
records. These Registered Receipts™ can be easily
sorted and archived in a verifiable form.
Simple to use: Just type an (O)
in the beginning of the subject field of any
e-mail (server installation), or click on the
Send (R)egistered™ button in your e-mail
program (desktop installation) and then select the
"For Official Use Only" service option. A specially
marked e-mail goes to the receiver and a specially
marked Registered Receipt™ is returned to the
sender. |
