The Digital Seal™ |
| |
|
Feature
Summary: |
|
RPost Digital Seal™ protection is a form of
digital signature.
RPost Digital Seal protection lets the sender
electronically sign their e-mail so the receiver
or future recipient can verify the integrity and
authorship of that e-mail. The sender is
protected against hoaxes, misrepresentation or imposture.
The
Digital Seal protection proves (as long as the Digital Seal mark is associated with that
e-mail) who sent the e-mail and what the
original content was that they sent. This
works for all e-mail systems and is continues to work even after the e-mail is
forwarded from person to person. |
|
The receiver gets a Registered E-mail
message into their inbox like any other e-mail;
either with or without the Registered E-mail
banner and markings. See below for a
description of the anatomy of the e-mail.

1. Attachments
(A) The "digitalseal.htm"
attachment contains embedded information that
enables the receiver to verify the origin and
integrity of the content.
(B) All PDF attachments have a
digital signature and time/date stamp on the bottom
right corner of each page of the PDF.
See below.

2. Signature
Notice
When sent as a Registered E-mail
message with the banner there are clear
markings that distinguish the message as a signed
Registered E-mail.
Note the text, "This is a
Registered E-mail® message signed by
[sender]" just under the banner.
