Step 6:  Authenticating the Registered Receipt E-mail

In the event of a dispute regarding a Registered E-mailŪ message, the Registered Receipt e-mail has all the information to prove sending, delivery, content, time, audit trails, authorship and authenticity.

Steps to authenticate an e-mail in a dispute (4 steps):

1. Find the Registered Receipt e-mail associated with the dispute, either in the Receipt folder or archive.  Note, verify the

Registered Receipt e-mail rather than the Acknowledgement e-mail.

2. Forward the receipt to the contesting party.

3. Have them forward the receipt to the address "verify@rpost.net" for processing.

4. Within a few minutes the RPost system analyzes the embedded LOCKED file to

validate the delivery status. audit trails and time stamps, while reconstructing the original e-mail, including all content and

    attachments.

NOTE:  RPOST DOES NOT STORE ANY E-MAIL OR ATTACHMENTS BY DEFAULT!
