Privacy / Security Concerns Raised about the RPost Processing of e-mail and Storage of Electronic Information:

It is important to understand exactly how the RPostŪ Registered E-mailŪ service works to appreciate that:

• RPost does not store e-mail messages as that would be at odds with the core value of its service – the Registered Receipt™ e-mail, a digital snapshot of the entire e-mail transaction enabling complete replication whenever needed.

• The U.S. Federal Government has accredited the RPost system following an audit of its procedures, processes and infrastructure (accreditation summary available upon request) which were shown to comply with federal standards relating to privacy, quality, business process, technology security, etc.

Postscript:

• Monthly usage reports record volume not content; further, sender / receiver are referenced with “xxx” notation for additional privacy.

• Never a threat of discovery as RPost cannot produce electronic information that it does not have stored – no “trusted 3rd party issues” to weigh.

• RPost management / advisory team is comprised of individuals who have or have had top secret security clearances and they are not going to do anything to place themselves or the integrity of the RPost system at risk.
