| Works for Any E-mail |
| |
While there have been other attempts to implement
e-mail delivery confirmation, none are as powerful
or as simple as the Registered E-mail® system - the only
e-mail service that provides legal proof of delivery
that has evidentiary value in court.
For example, AOL subscribers are limited by the
fact that they can only retrieve delivery confirmation
on messages sent to other AOL subscribers. Even
with these, they cannot prove the content of these
messages and the receipts can easily be tampered.
Microsoft Outlook users can "request a read
receipt" for each message sent; however, the
receipt is only sent if the recipient also uses
Outlook AND chooses to send the receipt by clicking
on the appropriate button of a popup dialog box.
By contrast, the Registered E-mail® system provides the
sender with third party proof that the message was
sent and legally delivered to ANY Internet address,
whether or not the receiving mail server conforms
to the Extended SMTP mail protocol and whether or
not the receiver responds or is on-line. |
