eContract ™
|
With RPost’s eSignOff® service, the message receipient can electronically sign and timestamp an email and attachments with one click. In many cases a contract may also require a countersignature from the sender or a third-party. RPost’s eContract™ service allows the sender and recipient to electronically sign and timestamp the same email message and attachment, creating a bilateral, legally binding and enforceable contract.
How It Works:
-
Sender sends the message to the recipient with eSignOff request,
-
Sender receives back the signed-off email, and then countersigns with RPost’s Digital Seal® signature.
-
Alternatively, the sender can send the original email already with Digital Seal, in which case the recipient is the one that countersigns.
Note: the service also allows both parties to forward the message and attachments to a third party for countersignature.
|
|
Step 1a: Compose the message
-
Compose an email like you always do (ask about RPost hosting an email template).
-
Send the message to anyone in the To, Cc or Bcc fields (up to 100 addresses per message).
-
Add basic text explaining the service as noted below for the receiver to complete the eSignOff.

CONTRACT IS NOW SIGNED!
Step 1a: Countersign Email (OPTIONAL)
In some cases a contract may need to be countersigned by the sender or a third party. RPost provides a signature with the "Digital Seal" service that signs an email using a signature that time and date stamps the message and allows the receiver to verify authorship and authenticity of the message and attachments.
-
Sender forwards the message to themselves, original recipient or third party with the attached contract.
-
Press the "Send Registered" button and the feature pop-up appears (see below).

Step 1b: Feature Pop-up - Digital Seal
Sender clicks the "Digital Seal" feature.

|
Step 2a: Digital Seal™ Email
Email is sent using the RPost Digital Seal which attaches a seal and time and date stamp to the bottom right of each page of the PDF (see step 4d below).
