Why is the RPost Cloud Platform Unique in the Marketplace?
The RPost Cloud platform marks a new era of “Cloud Computing” where “cloud-based” servers are operating complex processes on behalf of users that route data to the servers, with the product being outputs from the servers.
Consider these categories:
Cloud Computing: Most “cloud computing” systems today provide raw processing power on “cloud based” servers that are leased to developers to use as they wish; for them to operate their own software on.
Cloud Services: Most “cloud services” are focused on providing a web-based interface into a specific software application that has in the past been a software application that was run on desktop computers. These Cloud Services generally store user data and users log in directly to their user accounts managed by the cloud service provider.
The RPost Cloud is different.
Cloud Platform: The RPost Cloud is a “cloud processing platform” where there is a cloud-based network of servers and other infrastructure that is configured for specialized data processing. The RPost Cloud takes inputted data – data or messages sent to the RPost Cloud platform through a variety of methods – processes the data in a specialized way based on the message or data content or other instructions from the sender, and returns a product. The product is data that is transformed in a specialized way resulting in new data or message characteristics. This product may be sent to multiple parties (i.e. sender, sender IT organization, recipient, multiple recipients). By default, the RPost Cloud platform does not store data, but instead processes and transforms data in transit. Further, the RPost Cloud does not require any web browser or user log-in to access the specialized processing; data may be routed using a variety of protocols such as SMTP, HTTPS, or SOAP.
In short, the RPost Cloud platform is a first-of-a-kind cloud-based specialized processing infrastructure that can be leased for pennies, one processed message at a time or one user at a time. The RPost Cloud processes high value email messages with added characteristics that deliver a specialized message product to the recipient, returning analytics, reports and evidence records to the sender. The RPost Cloud acts as an infrastructure extension to developers’ own software platforms to add legally valid proof and non-repudiation, security and compliance, electronic signature and authentication, and collaboration and deliverability services.
As an example, a sender or developer that routes standard email through the RPost Cloud platform for specialized processing has the benefit of that standard email transformed into one of a number of products such as Certified Email encryption and sender authentication, secure large file transfer, Registered Email delivery proof, digital timestamping, HIPAA compliant and secure electronic signature and electronic contract signing services, PDF fill-in form electronic signing, among others.
