SEC and Brazilian Supreme Court are the latest to replace letters with the RMail Registered Email™ service

More governmental and law organizations internationally transition to RPost’s patented Registered Email service, the original and most trusted for proof of e-delivery.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Brazilian Supreme Court are among the latest to adopt use of the Registered Email™ service by RPost® for proof of e-delivery as organizational policies.

These join the many other governmental customers who have adopted the Registered Email™ service by RPost for process efficiency and strong evidence. The first government users began use in 2003 within the United States Government. The first worldwide international governmental use was the United Nations’ World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), also having used RPost’s Registered Email services for more than a decade — since 2007 — for proof of legal e-delivery. The United Nations has now used Registered Email™ service for proof in more than 100 countries.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the largest regulator of financial markets, is using the Registered Email™ service for when they need strong timestamped and authenticatable evidence of email delivery in lieu of existing secure email and certified paper mail systems.

The Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF) published Resolution 661/2020, establishing the use of the Registered Email™ service by RPost® as the official means for its procedural communications related to pending case records. They now send case-related notices as Registered Email™ messages, which now have the regulated effect of an immediate time-countdown of procedural deadlines. STF estimates that the use of Registered Email™ by RPost will significantly shorten procedural deadlines and speed activities. This replaced paper Registered Letters, and fax, the use of which was fast but gradually abandoned due challenges in tracing delivery and, importantly, proving content delivered and transaction authenticity — all problems solved with use of the Registered Email™ services by RPost®. The STF resolution now permits the Judicial Department (SEJ) to send procedural communications and case records electronically to law firms and other institutions involved using the Registered Email™ service by RPost®.

The Registered Email™ service by RPost® is the original, patented, and worldwide standard for legal and verifiable proof of email delivery, message and attachment content and official timestamp. Registered Email™ returns a self-authenticating and court-admissible Registered Receipt™ record for every message sent. This Registered Receipt™ email authenticates and accurately reproduces the original e-mail and attachment(s), including any attached disclosures, which satisfies the U.S. UETA and ESIGN Act’s retention and accurate reproduction requirements, Europe’s eIDAS requirements, and other country and regulatory proof of delivery and proof of receipt requirements.

The Registered Email™ service by RPost® includes a variety of encryption and e-signature options. It is available in Brazil through RPost’s Brazilian subsidiary, and through RPost, Ingram Micro, SoftwareOne, Frama and others worldwide and as part of RMail® services enabled inside RMail® for Microsoft Outlook, RMail® for Gmail, RMail® for Salesforce.com, RMail® for Zimbra, RMail Gateway™ security gateway, and other apps and APIs.
