Cease and Desist Notices

Since September 2009, as a result of RPost's cease and desist notices, over half a dozen companies that claimed to offer proof of email delivery have either withdrawn their services or ceased operation as a result. Competitors Olympus.net, GProof, and RegisteredEmail.com have shut down their special email services altogether (with the domain www.registeredemail.com transferred to RPost), and several US-based ISP’s have stopped hosting web sites of RPost’s offshore competitors.

September 14, 2009:
RPost Sues Goodmail for Patent Infringement over Certified Email Services

RPost has brought suit against Goodmail Systems for infringement of RPost patents. The RPost suit is targeted at Goodmail’s Certified Email “Paper Suppression” service. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction to prevent further damages.

RPost Sues AOL and Yahoo! for Patent Infringement over Certified Email Services

RPost has brought suit against AOL and Yahoo! for patent infringement, adding their names to its ongoing litigation against Goodmail Systems. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction to prevent further damages.

November 23, 2009:
RPost Sues Swiss Post for Patent Infringement over Certified Email Services

RPost has brought suit against Swiss Post for infringement of RPost patents. The RPost suit is targeted at Swiss Post's IncaMail certified email authentication service. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction to prevent further damages.

Settled Under Confidential Terms, May 20th, 2010. As part of the settlement, Swiss Post agreed to cease offering it's secure, verified, and third-party authenticated email services in the U.S. market.

November 30, 2009:

RPost has brought suit against Globalpex for infringement of RPost patents. The RPost suit is targeted at Globalpex's certified email and other certified delivery authentication services. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction to prevent further damages.

RPost has brought suit against Trustifi for infringement of RPost patents. The RPost suit is targeted at Trustifi's postmarked email services. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction to prevent further damages.

January 10, 2011:
RPost Sues Canada Post Corporation and Innovapost for Patent Infringement over Certified Email Services

RPost has brought suit against Canada Post Corporation for infringement of RPost patents. The RPost suit is targeted at Canada Post's PosteCS certified email and other certified delivery authentication services. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction to prevent further damages.

January 14, 2011:
RPost Sues ReadNotify for Patent Infringement over Certified Email Services

RPost has brought suit against ReadNotify for infringement of RPost patents. The RPost suit is targeted at ReadNotifiy's certified email and other certified delivery authentication services. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction to prevent further damages.

RPost has brought suit against Dimitry Kagan for infringement of RPost patents and trademarks. The RPost suit is targeted at Dimitry Kagan for his operations of www.pointofmail.com website certified email and other certified delivery authentication services. RPost has asked the US Federal Court to issue an injunction against Kagan personally to prevent further damages.
