Signature Certificate

A Signature Certificate a document containing information on the document and envleope that can be included at the end of a signed document or contract. The signature certificate includes an the audit trail of the document, signatures of everyone who signed the document and more additional metadata.

SEND Tab

In the SEND tab under the OPTIONS section, you (the Sender) may choose to include a Signature Certificate at the end of the current document bring prepared.

Default View

  1. Y: The Signature Certificate will be included at the end of the final document. This setting is enabled by default.
  2. N: The Signature Certificate will not be included at the end of the final document.

SETTINGS Tab

In the SETTINGS tab, under GENERAL SETTINGS, you have the option to enable or disable the setting “Include signature certificate on PDF” in the send tab, as well as, set a default value to include it or not in the final document.                                                                                                                                                       

  1. Options: Lists the setting Include signature certificate on PDF.
  2. Enable?: Controls if include signature certificate on PDF will be visable in the send tab.
    1. Checked: Include signature certificate on PDF option will be visible in the OPTIONS section of the SEND tab.
    2. Unchecked: Include signature certificate on PDF will not be visible in the OPTIONS section of the SEND tab.
  3. Default Value: This column lists default value for Include signature certificate on PDF. The default value will be displayed in the SEND tab when preparing a new envelope/document for signature.
    1. Y: Sets the default in the SEND tab to include the Signature Certificate at the end of the final document unless changed by you (the Sender).
    2. N: Sets the default in the SEND tab to not include the Signature Certificate at the end of the final document unless chenaged by you (the Sender).

Sender, Signger and CC’d Recipient Expereience

If the setting Include the signature certificate on the PDF is set to “Y”, the last pages of the signed document will be the signature certificate.

If the feature Include the signature certificate on the PDF is set to “N”, the signature certificte will not be included in the final document email.

  1. If you wish to view details of the audit trail of this document you can view it from inside the Manage tab. You can also download the and view XML data if settings are enabled.
  2. By not including the signature certificate Signatures will only be visable where the signature form field controls were placed and then signed by the signer.
